Specialist neurological assessment, electroencephalography (EEG), and electromyography and nerve conduction studies (EMG/NCV) at Al-Mohammad Medical Center.

Neurology services at Al-Mohammad Medical Center cover the assessment, diagnosis, and monitoring of central and peripheral nervous system disorders. A neurologist evaluates symptoms and selects investigations appropriate to the patient’s circumstances to guide care.
EEG records the brain’s electrical activity and may be performed at rest or with stimuli such as light and deep breathing. It is undertaken on a neurologist’s assessment, including in the evaluation of seizures and epilepsy, and interpreted alongside the examination and other findings.
These tests are performed by a neurologist to assess peripheral nerve and muscle function. Areas of investigation include:
Neuropathies and muscle disorders
Symptoms associated with cervical or lumbar disc conditions and radiculopathy
Limb pain, weakness, tingling, numbness, or movement difficulties
Seizures and epilepsy
Memory problems and dementia
Brain inflammation
Sleep problems, including insomnia and sleep apnea
Chronic headaches and migraine
Traumatic brain injury
Assessment related to brain tumors
The neurologist determines which investigations each situation requires. This list does not mean that EEG diagnoses all of these conditions.
Neurological tests are performed by a neurologist using the center’s diagnostic equipment, and the findings are reviewed to plan continuing care.
